Gone are the days of sadness
My emptiness now filled
Peace lays bare my heart
To see my God’s mercy spilled
Honesty is now the norm
Who I am is good enough
Friends are deep and talk is real
My life with sweetness is now filled up
Confirm my love to all I know
That bond of brotherhood so strong
Loyalty is precious and given to some
God’s spirit within will never be gone

Decision
I see the light shining brightly ahead
Gone is the fear, the hurt has fled
God’s joy within wells up high
To speak the truth, as an eagle fly
Move ahead with the truth you know
Seeds are sown, to the devil a heavy blow
When that moment of truth finally arrives
Step through that door, don’t believe his lies
God’s voice reveals His will within
Action is taken, not what could have been
His presence now burns within your heart
Confirming His love will never depart
A new vision is set to love and heal
Compassion moves your heart to truly feel
Give, and give some more
Look to the bema, God’s rewards instore
A decision to stand, mighty and true
To speak God’s word makes everything new
With grace and mercy in abundant supply
Bask in God’s freedom and reach for the sky

The Masterpiece
Given the truth I need
I open my mouth to speak
Believing is the title deed
The words that come is what they seek
As sons we stand righteous and tall
Our sins are forgiven as peace is found
We serve a banquet to be received by all
Stand clear as truth rings a melodious sound
Our weakness allows our God to prove
Strength comes from His mighty arm
We walk with confidence finding the groove
A Man of God sparks the Devil’s alarm
The fellowship is sweet with those who care
We stand together like-minded are we
We live dynamically with style and flare
As God’s masterpiece unfolds for all to see

Promises
Do we trust our God? Are His promises true?
I question my lot when I’ve claimed a few.
The results aren’t there when I expect them to be.
Did the devil succeed; maybe I’m too blind to see.
Is it me O Lord that has failed to believe?
Your deliverance and guidance I want to receive.
I have heard that you cannot begin to lie.
But the results I see make me want to sigh.
The times you have failed I see not one.
My confidence builds knowing I am your son.
Your word rings true as I hear it taught.
My heart is pricked as the battle is fought.
My mind races to blame but joy fills my thoughts
Your faithfulness continues the devil takes his shots.
I ask your forgiveness for my foolish mistake.
Accusing my God what more could I take.
Eternity will show His sweet love has won.
Patience, a virtue you have learned my son.
Rise up today and see His promise unfold.
The integrity of His word, as pure as gold.

The Household
We have lost our way and everything’s strange
Where is our connection and how do we change?
We feel all alone, even in a crowd
We are afraid to ask, we’re much too proud
Let down your guard and let people see
No one’s perfect and neither are we
Honesty lets down walls we hold so high
Our cocoon is a prison, speak up - don’t be shy
The household is fruitful as we stand
A place of safety and a helping hand
Our hearts are open to the love we share
The mighty amoung us bring healing and care
They give and they minister, great power to impart
Received with meekness the sharing to start
Spiritual life from their heart is eagerly believed
They see with God’s eyes, sweet unity achieved
As we grow in respect, looking beyond the sin
We see in each other the Christ within
As brothers and sisters we come to the light
With God’s spirit within we stand in the fight
As we teach each other, all our needs are met
We have the same Father - Eternity is set
Exceeding joy from our Father above
Gives us great strength as we stand in love

The Song in our Hearts
God understands the core of our being
He sees a gemstone of purity, strong and clear
Filled with His wisdom we speak
Filled with His love we embrace, no need to to fear
We are powerful beyond what we can conceive
God has created us in His image and given us life
He speaks, comforting our hearts, leading us with peace
As the opportunity unfolds we speak His word, ending the strife
The world is waiting desperately for the sons of God
The sword we weild cuts to the reality of life for which they long
The fog is clearing and the image is clear
A calling and purpose so mighty our heart rejoices in song

Filled
Life’s so fresh knowing the one true God
Giving and healing a vision to applaude
Sweetness to the soul and fulfillment to the heart
God called us from darkness and set us apart
Fill life’s cup to the brim the overflowing to begin
God’s power manifested from the spirit within
Believing and walking seeing wonders and signs
The joy He gives is as the fruit of the vine
Times of refreshing drinking in His essence
A sustaining refuge filled with His presence
A heart to serve from the abundance He gives
The household edified the mystery lives

Help Him Hold God’s Hand
We live and we hear but do we really listen?
The heart is ready to reveal only if we truly care.
We proclaim our own greatness looking for respect.
A man’s hope is dashed, left with only a glare.
Meekness to instruction swells to the surface
when we have belief and vision for another.
An eager ear follows patient listening
looking for answers with a life full of color.
When we are secure in whom we are,
we can help him hold God’s hand.
People are more interesting that they seem,
dig a little deeper and they soon will say “I can”

Precision
The body ages experience teaches
Same mistakes will not repeat again
Wisdom is ours and humbleness expressed
Kindness is learned less likely to offend
Boldness shines in our faces
Effectively we embark
Fringed with boredom
We ignite the spark
New things are learned
A little deeper at least
Great insight gives us pleasure
Clear purpose, fear to cease
Who are we? Strength increases
Feed on giving, lessens the pain
A fresh perspective, power focused
Precision embraced, satisfaction attained

The Sweet
Encouraged by Jehovah I move without fear,
As I pray to my God to an attentive ear.
His promise of life gives me strength to endure,
Righteousness shields my heart tenderness to procure.
I break through the illusions the world spins in my head,
The power of truth causes the devils to spread.
The might of His word breaks the chains of defeat,
Lives healed with the gentleness of His caress so sweet.
Among the prophets examples are set,
Rise up my fellows new challenges met.
Determined to stand sharpens a man his sword,
God’s word neglected can we ill afford.
Abundance is ours as we feed the many,
Teach as we may to value a penny.
God’s spiritual perspective sure to open our eyes,
Wisdom of endurance brings us to new highs.

Endurance
The ancients’ spoke and I turned a diligent ear,
Their voices rang truth I held very dear.
A man taught me by the hand of God, His Word to reveal,
That which is with the Almighty he did not conceal.
He taught me to stand, simple enough it seemed,
In many a fire he kindled beyond my belief.
To stand it was easy when all had vision,
Strokes came fast and promotions were given.
The power of right words was quite evident,
Truth came off my lips to whom it was sent.
Many believed and deliverance came free,
My heart thrilled, “God first”, that was the key.
As years passed by the law gripped my heart,
The joy that was my strength began to depart.
Despair was great, tears on my face,
My God’s comfort soon to replace.
He never left my side God’s love so sure,
Victory is mine, with His embrace I will endure.
With sweet wisdom now firmly in place,
God’s power is ours to finish the race.
The competition is keen ascending lifes’ mountain,
Rise up my fellows, tap into God’s fountain.
With perfect peace we enter into His rest,
If doubts arise, remember, “You are God’s best”.

Energized
God reached deep within the man’s heart and planted His seed
“Born again!” Never again to have death rule his fears
The joy is overwhelming as light floods his thoughts
A new awareness that is sharpened over the years

Resurrection
We pause and look for the reason why
Our thoughts perplexed we silently cry
Frightful, it seems, to think of death
Until we learn of His love’s breath
Gone are the days of youth and innocence
We then stood with knowledge and penance
God has reached far with a vision so brave
He gave His son’s life in order to save
Precious and lovely in His sight are we
The ransom so high - the gift now free
The price was paid for weakness and sin
His son now raised - freedom within
He brought us triumphant victory
As life unfolds - sweet simplicity
The certainty of purpose is now very clear
A life that is eternal - no reason to fear

What If I’m Wrong?
God wants us to be right
He has revealed His will.
As we choose the truth
Our hearts will he fill.
What is a man
But flesh and bone?
We have failed before
Reaping what we’ve sown.
The path to heaven seems too hard
The job at hand seems enough for me.
My heart is gripped with fear
For what if I’m wrong for all to see?
God has called me to lead today
My loving family needs me so.
Taking a stand courage prevails
A man of the spirit strength will flow.

Destruction of the Plastic Man
The heart of man is searching
For a wild and adventurous cause.
He soaks in the diverse creation
The smell and taste of it causes him to pause.
To compete stirs the passion
That fuels his deepest desire.
Yearning for significance
A man with strength and fire.
The higher and greater the challenge
He is awakened deep inside.
Steel he didn’t know existed
More alive these changes will abide.
Words of confidence roll off his tongue
He has mastered his will and sense of self.
Taking his bride for the thrill of her life
A man bigger than yesterday is off the shelf.
